The Sun is Shining...

The great thing about this world is that we have the ability to slip away into the void, into nothingness, into dreams, into creation's embrace for 8 hours every night and come back and breathe a new day with new thoughts, new feelings, new perspectives. Perhaps we meet some wise souls that advise us and then zap us (like that gun in Men In Black!) so we forgot we met them....

Just looking at this freshly opened sunflower at the front of our house this morning brought me joy and a smile...

and the sweet smell of my frangipanis made it bigger...

Life's pretty grand most of the time, really...

I love sunflowers and that one is a stoater (That's a good Scottish word for anything that is excellent)

Glad your feeling happier

I have a Thai culture question. We are sending a care package with my brother who is traveling to Bangkok next week. I love Johnson's and Johnson's lavender baby shampoo. It smells really good. I thought about sending it to Patsakorn. Would that be appropriate? My husband bought a bag of Hershey's chocolate to give to the foster family. Do Thai's like American chocolate? The last thing that I want to do is offend.
Thanks for helping. You are really a great resource for me!!

C - ooh I like that word... stoater..may have to absorb that into my everyday vocabulary! Feeling much more together..must take that heart off my sleeve!

T - Ask away..use me all you want :-) The care package is a lovely idea and they will be very excited to receive it! Chocolate always goes down well with my inlaws..most people have a sweet tooth and the shampoo is def. appropriate! Maybe a little baby mobile for hanging and chiming or something a bit American (ie foreign)?? If they're anything like my fatherinlaw, he gets so excited to see things from other countries!

This was a great way to adjust to what happened with you earlier with regard to that horrific accident you witnessed. You and J did the right thing. I'm glad you always notice the beauty around you, no matter what's been going on...
